Bulverde Real Estate

Named after a type of arrowhead made by Native Americans B.C., Bulverde was first settled along the Cibolo Creek in the 1850s and remained a tiny community until about 50 years ago. With a population of only 25 residents in the 1960s, Bulverde now is home to more than 4800 Texans and hosts a major grocery stores and retail outlets while retaining its small town charm.  Popular for its cedar and oak studded limestone hills, Bulverde is only minutes from the water recreations of Canyon Lake, 19 west of New Braunfels and 26 miles due north of downtown San Antonio along US Highway 281.  Ranchettes on small acreage are common here which makes the median home price higher than the regional average, at $271,000 according to US Data.  Burgeoning San Antonio is growing this way, however, so more and more new build subdivisions are popping up with Bulverde addresses which gives homebuyers many choices if they decide to call this Hill Country community home.
